They served a special “HalfMax” formula on the course Sunday and it was GREAT! I couldn’t stomach getting any gels down because of the heat and didn’t need to. I didn’t take Endurolytes either, which I would usually have needed in that heat and humidity! I loved the mild, not sweet orange flavor and I do not usually like orange at all.
Well, the stuff did certainly work. I have never taken an endurolyte or a salt tab, but if I would need to on any day, it would have been Sunday. But I don’t know about “yummy”. I basically couldn’t taste it. To me, it was just slightly opaque liquid that wasn’t water. That was just fine with me.
Thanks to all that were there at the race. I was waiting to see if there was any feedback after the thread from last week. Seems like that race was a great success and as usuall Mark runs one of the best races in the US.
Congrats to all finishers!
I am going to be at the next race I hope…look forward to meeting everyone there!
Yes, the infinit worked very well. I lost quite a few of my calories on the bike, so I started the run a bit low. I decided that I’d drink the InfinIT at each aid station to try to make up. I did, and it worked great! Thanks!
one question: How concentrated (cals/oz) can you make the infinit formulation? I like to do the highly-concentrated bottle trick on the bike. I think I might have to order some!
Colin, all of our ingredients are made to be mixed in very high concentrations. Obviously you have to take with water but you can mix it thick. Bonness puts almost all of his infinIT calories into a couple of gel flasks. Many of the Ultrafit coaches tell their athletes to mix 10 scoops in a 20 oz bottle (1100+ calories).
Because you can dial the flavor way down the “gel” or concentrate is not too strong in flavor. I personally like to mix all of my nutrition into one bottle and then squirt a couple of ounces into a jet stream and fill with water from the aid station. Then it is cold and ready to drink.
Again, we have a 100% money back and/or refomulation guarantee. If there is something that is not right we will make it again or refund your money. We stand behind our product 100%.
Hi, you will be able to order it on the Ultramax and infinIT websites by the end of next week. I will post here when the link to the formulation is live. I am sure that Ultramax will announce also with a press release.
If you want to go on the infinIT website now and do it:
Long distance carbohydrate blend
Medium Orange flavor
Electrolytes medium low (275 mg sodium)
That will get you very close. As I said, the exact formula will be out very soon. Mark and I have been training with it for months, and the stuff works and tastes awesome.
Just curious about this stuff. Never heard of it before. What kind of drink is this and how much is it. I would like to try some. Do you sell it in some sample sachets to try before buying a tub of it? Where do the calories come from meaing what kind of carbs. is there any protein just would like to know more. Thanks…
Hi Craig. We are brand new. What we do is allow people that ability to make sports drinks that match their individual tastes and needs. You can adjust the level of flavor, electrolytes, caffiene, protein (if any) and even number of calories per serving. We then custom make it and ship it to your door in 4 days.
Go to www.infinitnutrition.com and click on the build your own link. In about 2 min you will have your own formulation.
We do not have samples because it is all custom made by hand. However, we back all of our products with a full money back and/or reformulation guarantee so you cannot loose. I will say we have shipped thousands of orders in the first six months and I have had ONLY three returns. I get e-mails every day from athletes raving about the performance and taste. It’s pretty cool.
