Does anyone know anything about the inexpensive cycling jerseys and shorts/pants available on ebay, being shipped from Hong Kong (and other Asian locations)? The reviews of the sellers are good, but has anyone got this stuff and found out that it’s just cheap and crappy? Or is it decent stuff being dumped as overstock or whatever?
Search “trek jersey” or “cervelo jersey” or similar if you don’t know what I mean.

i can’t speak to these specific sellers or jerseys. but, i did buy a Team Phonak jersey a few years ago from a similar deal on eBay. mine had a pretty short zipper (not that i really cared) and it was definitely made from a much thinner material than others i have. but, it did cover my body, have pockets and to this day, has NOT faded, bled, or come unstitched. hell, for $30…it’s worth a try i’d say.
i ordered a kit from one of those sellers. Definitely not authentic. took about 3 weeks delivery …chamois on shorts was an odd material and sizes fit odd. the claimed lycra was more of just spandex. jersey was about 2-3 inches short exposing mid drift…but for $40 bucks for a kit, what can you expect…you get what you pay for.

I bought a pair of CSC “craft” bibs. Mediocre chamois. Paid something like $6, and the genuine article seems to go for around $150 in shops. After one ride, I was pretty sure they were fake. Get what you pay for, I suppose.
