Indiana Jones- Part 5

Where as I’m a fan, I’m not sure how I’m too excited about this.
.

I stopped watching the Crystal Skulls after about 5 minutes. Pretty sure I won’t be the first in line to watch #5

hope they can get 'er done while Ford is still reasonably mobile - or else they can feature the search for Indian Jones Bones
.

Ford is 72? Damn, when did that happen…

Agreed—unless they can successfully do a “re-boot” a la, say “Star Trek” or even the Bond films…let this one go.

But it’s Hollywood, and if there’s a dime to be made, you know it’s going to happen.

Screw Hollywood. The last Indiana Jones movie sucked ass. This one is sure to follow suit.

Can’t argue with your logic.

I might just rewatch the first one and pretend I never saw it.

Everyone bitches about the 4th one, but Short Round (did that kid also play Jar Jar?) was pretty fucking annoying too.

Future Indiana Jones movies coming out with Ford.

Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Cookie Jar

Indiana Jones and the Last Erection (takes place 20 years ago)

Indiana Jones and the Crystal (and broken) Hip

Saw “Temple of Doom” not too long ago and just thought to myself “I liked this when it came out??” Wow, it was really bad. Kate Capshaw (the character and her as an actress, though I don’t think even Meryl Streep could have saved that role) was awful and yes, Short Dipwad was equally bad.

She married Spielberg.

That I do recall. And I also recall seeing her in something else that wasn’t horrible…but that could be a bad memory, too.

The first one was very good, and the third (with Connrey) was also good. The sentimental me hopes that this fifth installment is a good story with a small amount of the old Indy, and that the series, or at least Ford as Indy, does not go out with such a stinker as the last.

Let’s just hope they truly to have top men working on this. Top. Men.

Space Camp.

I’m working off of memory, so don’t fault me for the details here:

IIRC- the 2nd movie was supposed to pit Indy against a different kind of foe in a completely new environment. Since public opinions weren’t as great as the first one, they decided to pretty much replicate the 1st by fighting the Nazi’s. I’m not sure what they thought when they dreamt up the 4th.

Space Camp.

Good heavens, hope you’re wrong with that one lol…

Awesome!!!

Looks like lots of haters on here. Indiana Jones movies are classic. I still like Raiders the best. I enjoyed them all and Harrison Ford is a great actor. I’ll see it!

My prediction: it will get the reviews of Rocky Balboa.

For those that don’t know what I’m talking about, Rocky Balboa (also known as Rock VI) was the last installment of the Rocky franchise. Rocky V was a horrible, horrible piece of shit of a movie. People hoped that Rocky Balboa could save the series and send it out on a good note. What happened was they put together a laughably horrible movie that was slightly better than V, but better enough that people actually thought it was good……because they wanted it to be good……kind of like the first 10 minutes or so from when you walked out of Star Wars Episode 1.

Anyway, IJ 5 will be this.

FWIW, I enjoyed, and still enjoy, IJ 2.

I have always been an Indiana Jones fan. I enjoyed the first three, fourth was terrible, 5th will be terrible too.

I think its just Disney trying to suck any possible remaining revenue out of the Indiana Jones brand. If they really wanted to do it right, they would get a new young actor (sorry Ford is too old) and do a prequel then make that the end, no more Indiana Jones movies.

Also, didnt Ford break a hip during the shooting for the next Star Wars?
