I have been away for a week so please forgive me if this is old news…
I rode the loop today (07/23) and came across the following hazards:
-Fresh loose gravel on Witte Rd from Windy Ln to CR-J
-Fresh loose gravel on Timber Ln near Midtown
-The intersection of Midtown and Shady Oak Ln is completely torn up (but can be navigated)
-Fresh loose gravel on Cross Country from Nine Mound to ??? (I didn’t even try, I took Nine Mound to Verona Ave)
Thanks for the heads up. It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve been out there, but was plaaning on riding it on Sunday.
This was my experience a week ago, too, but I was just following a pre-laid course my Garmin, so I didn’t know where it was to say anything. Glad you reported it.
What’s up with the gravel areas? (one is kinda dangerous because there’s a down/up) Obviously, it can’t be raced on like that. Rerouted? Or will it be paved over by then? Anyone know?

Like Reklats, I haven’t been up there in a few weeks. Last year there was loose gravel in spots (especially Timber Ln and right before Midtown). I was a little worried about how it was going to be on race day, but by then it was all fixed and good. Hopefully the same thing this year.
