Well I signed up for IMTX about 2 weeks before it closed and as soon as I did I checked all the local hotels and they’re booked. While I do live in Houston, this is more for the wife and 2 small kids. Does anyone know of accommodations near the race? The best I could find was near the airport, which is not an improvement.
I’d also be interested in renting a house or apartment for the weekend.
Anyone have any ideas?

Jeff have you checkedthe Woodlands conference center. That is where I and a couple others are staying who signed up late.

After writing this I also put the word out on a Facebook group I am in and someone said there were rooms at The Woodlands Resort. I immediately called and reserved. Apparently they were booked earlier (I tried) but a large group rescheduled when they found out it was IM weekend so a bunch of rooms opened up.
If anyone still needs a room, try the Woodlands Resort.
