Here’s the important post-race info. This will be taped to my dashboard on the drive up – as motivation.
The one in Citrus Heights looks the closest.

Krispy Kreme is good, but, more importantly, I made sure I booked the hotel right next to the In N Out burger ![]()

.
I’ll be shoving a couple in my jersey pocket for the ride to the swim start - no doubt…

…sushi? ugh… I keep telln’ ya…Francois… that’s fish bait. ![]()

I’d rather go for good sushis after the race…
Gosh, I love a good sushi meal, but…where’s the fun in that? I can eat sushi all week long while holding to 69 kilos. The minute this race is over, I’m getting back up to 71 where I belong.
The nice people at Krispy Kreme are going to help me get there. I’ve got an 8-hour drive home Saturday night, and I figure a dozen (plus a few double-doubles from In n Out) will get me through the drive.
Sunday morning, my kids are treating me to another trip to Krispy Kreme to celebrate my first Sunday morning without a long run in some time.
If you guys want a real “party” head back to Davis after the race. It’s Picnic Day which is guaranteed to be a huge party.
how about a cold stone ice cream after sushis?
Ok, that’ll work. You have to promise to get a double scoop, with mix-ins.
pizza and beer sounds good to me.

well actually, since the weather forecast looks a bit cold I might prefer some hot coffee.
Just bring the sushi over to cold stones. I am sure they can “mix it in”. That way you kill two birds with one “cold” stone:)
Not rain, maybe showers. But yes, bring your arm warmers.
When do you hit town?

I think it is very generous for Francois to volunteer to buy everyone sushi after the race!
