Been reading lots lately about contact points, hip angles, FIST, importance of not training on the pursuit bars etc etc.
It got me wondering, how important is it to match position/fit across the various bikes I own? Will getting them all very close to each other benefit my training? Currently only doing ~150-200km a week, in the “meh” phase of the training cycle at the moment.
Example - I have 3 bikes, 2011 P3, a Cell road bike (weekend rides/race) and an old Merida roadie (resurrected for commuting and weekday training rides).
Besides the various frame shapes, stem lengths, heights, angles, I just noticed the Merida has 175cm cranks, whereas the Cell has 172.5cm cranks. P3 I’m not sure right now, whatever comes stock!
Should I get out the tape measure and parts bin and try to match them all - or at least the road bikes?? If so, what would be the key measurements to target first.
cheers
