Has anyone ever kept track of how long it takes for the community fund slots to fill up in the past for IMLP? Especially last year with the 90 min sellout.
I have someone who would be willing to stand on line and get me a slot on Monday. However, I’m seriously considering the community fund slot. My company offers a 5:1 Company Match. The CF slot would only cost me a total of $562.50 compared to normal active.com of $495.00 (Registration + Processing Fee) and provide me the ability to transfer to an '09 race if I were to become injured. (I’m considering it an “insurance” policy".
My only concern is the timing if indeed the the CF slots fill just as quickly. It would probably be close to 30 day’s after CF Slots are available for my company to mail the matching gift check.
Lead’s me to another question… Has anyone ever registered using matching gift and if so were you registered in the race before the company actually matched the gift or were you just registered based on your contribution?
