How quickly does IMKY typically fill up? Isn’t it usually in early summer?

It’s open for a while. I think it closed in April-may timeframe this year. There were community fund slots available right up until the end.
It does take a long time to sell out… but there is a reason for that. After spectating it this last weekend, it was clear to me that this is a very popular race, with Athletes and spectators.
They don’t cap the entries at the usual 2500 / 2800 limit. I have heard 3000+, as well as uncapped. Not sure which is true. The first few years were sellouts, but the actual participant numbers, those who actually started the race, was low. Due to that, they increased the amount of openings, sold a bunch more, and now have around 2500 starters per year, which is where the numbers should be.
