Here are some of the controversial questions in the IMFL survey I just received.
“I think participants should be allowed to bring their children down the finish chute with them.”
** Personally I did not have a problem with children blocking my finish, but I still would like to see it participant only.
“There was enough room in transition.”
** No fricking way. T1 was a cluster-f*ck. I am glad I was not changing clothes as the tent was sardine-like.
“The food at the Pre-Race Dinner was diverse and plentiful.”
** Note: They did not ask whether it was any good, which it was not.
“When you register for a North America Sports event, what are your intentions?
Kona or bust
To be competitive within my age group, with no intentions of going to Kona
To complete the distance for fun and recreation”
** Sounds like they are thinking about races with no Kona slots.
