hahahahah thanks
.
I think I saw you. I was also helping out in transition. You had a couple of kids with you…and you were at the back of the bike-to-run bag hand-offs. I was near the front directing bike-handlers and guiding athletes towards their bags. Wow…first time being part of an IronCrew. What an intense…but fun experience.
I really enjoyed helping and volunteering. I appreciated the commitment and hard work of the volunteers at IM-Wisconsin (working in the cold rain all day). They were amazing…so I felt obligated to return the favor. Since my wife was participating… why not roll-up the sleeves and help out where I could.
I found the volunteer organization to be okay…not great. We were given just a little guidance and we made the best of it. For the most part…I thought transition went well. My concerns: Changing tent is way too small. I heard more complaints about this than anything else. Back when I did the event in 2000…they had peg boards that you hung your bags on…I liked this system. Having the bags on the ground…with tight aisles…not sure which way is the best.
I would be curious to hear from the athletes. What did you like or dislike about T1 / T2.
It was nice chatting with you after the swim. It’s not my fault all of you bald guys look the same. Plus you had this hot womens with you…how could I not assume you were Johnnyo. ![]()
When you say you were working T-2 - where were you? Were you in the men’s changing tent? If so, we met. I was the guy wearing the green captain’s shirt.
<< just read your other reply that you weren’t in the tent.
