I checked the IMF site to see when I should be getting my race packet in the mail. The website said (last week) that they should be mailed out at the end of September and should take 7-14 days for delivery.
I just checked a few minutes ago and the website says you should be able to download the race packet as soon as they can make it available.
What exactly is in the race packet? What do they do if someone doesn’t have a computer and assumes it will be mailed to them? After all I’m positive they changed the site within the last few days.
There is not a packet that is mailed out (At least I never got one in my 5 IMs). You’ll get your “race packet” upon registration. This will contain your numbers, trans bags, goodies, swim cap and your wrist band.
The downloadable info is simply the “Athlete’s Guide” with schedule, race rules, Kona breakdow, course maps and general information. Pretty much nothing that you probably don’t already know…
**When will the race packets be mailed out? **Race packets are not mailed. They can be downloaded from the website when they are available. It will be announced at the top of the site homepage when they are ready for the current year’s race.
