I have never paid attention to elevation on courses I have ridden before. Can anybody make a comparison between the CDA bike course and Caliman, ½ Vineman or Wildflower? What gearing is used on CDA? I have the 23 on now but after reading 4,000 plus of climbing I am thinking about going bigger.

After reading this, I don’t consider this course over hilly. The steepest climb is around 7%, the minor ones 4-5%.
Well, here is an interesting toy to play with. It isn’t the races you’re asking for, but it does contrast the IMNA courses.(Every time I look at it, I ask myself why I chose IMUSA.) You have to click on each course a bunch of times when you first load the page.
Dave, if you are in the 30-34 AG, I think a 21 would be a better choice!

If a 21 is good would a fixed gear be better? Yes I am (34) but I wouldn’t worry about it.
Yes definitely. It’ll be much easier to control a fixed gear on the technical descents.
