Has anyone figured out where to stay? I checked with the online vacation rental place (VRBO.com) for rentals. Should I expect to pay more per night in Coeur d’Alene than I do on Manhattan? Sounds like a rip-off at first. Or is this expected? Also, I’m heading to Louisville in August and I’m paying 1/2 of what they wanted in CDA and I’m less than 0.5 mile from the transition area.

Right around a month. However, the year before took considerably longer. They are expecting a similiar trend for '08…meaning faster than 1 month.
Yeah baby, let’s go! I’m in for my first too. I just finished my first half-iron this weekend, and I distinctly remember the thoughts going through my mind on the run, questioning “why would I want to do double the distance”? Funny how things change when you wake up the next day. Looking forward to the next 12 months for sure.
Im in as well,… This year was my first ironman and I cant wait for the second one. I couldnt get signed up fast enough. After swimming in 2:00.16 I left alot of room for improvement. This year total time 12:36.46 next year I only have to swim one minute faster and its an Ironman PR!
Seems alot of people are asking about lodging. I stayed at Blackwell Island Rv park just across the spokane river ,… about 5 minutes from the park and it was 35.00 a night ,… Had my own space out of traffic away from the crowd and the price was great as well.

I’m in for next year. Your idea about the RV park is a good one. How early did you reserve? Don’t have an RV but i imagine I could rent one.
I think it was in oct. that I called and reserved it. They had 185 places there and it was very nice,… I borrowed an rv from a friend because I live fairly close but you can rent them in spokane ,… I saw several people there that had motor homes that where rented.
