Is it possible to train on the bike course the Saturday before the big event? I’m planning on traveling to the event to sign up for 2008 and wanted to know if it’s possible to ride the course on Saturday or will it be inaccessible.
If it is possible, anyone interested in riding it let me know via PM.
absolutely. The entire course is marked year round with mileage markers painted on the road every five miles (look for big red numbers), and the route is well known and easy to follow - even for first timers.
There is a little construction just before Osoyoos that I’m guessing won’t be finished by race day, which is gonna be a bummer, but otherwise the road is in good shape (except the out and back, which still sucks).
How fast are you going to be riding? I have a friend who is riding it on Saturday by herself starting at 8:30. How long do you think it’ll take you and then I can judge if you tow would ride well together. (I know b/c my friend and I always ride together)
