Well that was quick. Already shows it on hold after only 2-3 mins. I wonder if any spots hit general online entry this year. I know people said that last year too. Anyone have an educated guess about how many spots they held for this combo race package?
I don’t know how many spots there were… but I’m in!!! Registered in the first minute… phew!
i am in as are 3 friends of mine… looks like it is on hold now
My partner and I were both clicking the screen at 11:00, and we got in. Now I’ll have to learn how to climb (for Silverman, not IMAZ).
I got in too, along with a buddy from my team.
Of course, this is all after I booked a trip to Tempe this weekend to volunteer in order to get… but at least I won’t have to show up at 4am on Monday to sign up onsite!
Silverman is more about climbing/descending on foot rather than bike. In HOT weather.
I am in. Did it in the first 2 min. Will be my first IM and an opportunity to improve at Silverman. Was an awesome but very challenging course this year.
I also got in right away. Strange they didn’t announce this in advance. Maybe they were afraid they’d lose a lot of IMAZ volunteers who were coming specifically to sign up for 2015. Seems like a decent discount- an IM and a half IM for $940. IMAZ is $725 by itself, so you’re getting Silverman for $215. Can’t remember what I paid to do Silverman this year, but seems like it was more than that.
It was on the website for prob 3-4 weeks
.
Which website? The IMAZ one?
Yes IMAZ. Under Registration tab there was a tab for 2015 registration and then this info was top of that page.
Guess I never had a need to check that page. Glad I checked my email last night!
$210 at the first day of signups last year.
Thanks Alex. I did sign up first day back in 2013 thinking for sure Silverman would sell out fast. Silly me! So, the “deal” with this new package wasn’t that incredible after all.
I cant believe this deal wasnt talked about more, considering this might be the last instant sell out race on the IM circuit. Even if you have no desire to do Silverman, this is by far a better option (finance wise) than spending a weekend for volunteering, if you are from out of town. Better than the Foundation too, even for the guys in the highest tax bracket.
Looks like the wifes Christmas gift just got a little better after today!
Well, I was in the air at 7:30 am PST when this thing went live at 8 am PST today. By the time I got back online this offer too was sold out and I am tentatively planning to do Siliverman again so this would be a nice option! So I missed the AWA Gold sign up on account of flying west when that offer went live and missed this one on account of it opening up when I was flying east…oh well!
No internet on the plane Dev?
No internet on the plane Dev?
Air Canada…for some reason they don’t have internet on trans US flights, but they do on Canadian routes. In any case, it is kind of nice to not have access during those flights. I get a lot of stuff done without getting sidetracked by guys in the office wanting my time, or me getting side tracked by this website (as I am doing now) LOL ![]()
