My brother and I are looking to register for IM Wisconsin 2006. It will be the first IM for each of us. I’ve heard horror stories about actually getting into IM races. For IMC you actually have to physically show up in Penticton to register, right?
How is Wisconsin signup? Can I likely just do it online? Does it open and close “day-of”?
Appreciate any advice/tips.

Yep…start trying often and early. IM Wisconsin closed in about 13 hours after opening last year.

you can do it online at Active.com. take a look at the website on Friday usually they put the information up early. but i think it opens at 8am and usually fills the same day.
Registration is the day AFTER the race; Monday, September 12th. I had no problems doing it through active.com last year. I think that it doesn’t open until 10am (local race time) or so, but I could be wrong about that.
