I hear you. Competition, especially from a well groomed organization is a great thing for the sport.
I got in last year just before the system crash, no such issues this year… but I didn’t re-register for 2012 anyway.
Variety is the spice of life and I plan on doing different races whenever possible.
2 x Rev3 races vs 2 x WTC races = more Rev3/independent races for me next year.
I find nothing worse in life than amusement parks. NOTHING.
REV3 have plans to go to places of scenic value on the east coast anyone know? Love to tri them out.

the good news is, you don’t actually have to go IN the park unless you want to.
i do think they have races in Costa Rica, Maine, SC, and others that aren’t amusement park related. heck i think only Quassy and Cedar Point are actually AT amusement parks?
i honestly feel like they are part of my family lately. i’ve been to 4 of their races now, and we are on a first name basis with the announcer and the media folks. it feels nice. they give my kids high fives and such. i can’t see venturing too far from that for me.
if you don’t have a family to tote around with you, then i could see there not being much of a draw really.
