If you are interested, the folks at Triathlon Quebec are planning a day for athletes to check out parts of the course. I don’t have all the details, but was sent this. Might be worth a trip up…and don’t forget the fabulous fall colours this weekend. They are absolutely awesome in the Laurentians.
Marc/Sportstats, anything other information you guys can provide would be great, short of telling us that you’re sitting on beach in Kona having drinks gettting ready for the smackdown on the island!

Was it really that easy for my brain to go into Quebec/French mode that when I saw the text in French I forgot I was reading French and forgot to translate for the ST community? Man, I thought I outgrew being an armed forces recruit in Quebec and being screamed at by my French drill sergeant for marching out of step on the parade square and not knowing the difference between gauche and droit (well, one could argue that I don’t even know the diff in English).
Yes in 2012…the first time was really successful with over 50 participants that rode part of the bike course and run course.
The first recon day was organized by Triathlon Quebec.
November 1st is when all construction on the bike course will be completed.
Do you know how we can get on the mailing list for notices of these? I’m registered and didn’t get a notice … I can only assume that it’s because I’m USAT, and not TQ?
My wife is doing the race so she went to the recon. She said it was the most organized and efficient triathlon related event she has ever been to. We’ve done a bunch of Keith Jordan races so that’s saying a lot. It’s a good sign for next year.
You can try looking at http://objectif226.ca/ once in a while for updates and information. The site is in French but translating the information should get you the essential information.
