I would give Luke Bell one of the top 3 spots. He has beaten Tim DeBoom last year, and took 5th overall in Hawaii.
My picks:
Luke Bell
Macca
Shortis
Normann
Legh
Rookie Ironwoman Nicole Rudan might show some of the bigger names whats what on the run…
Is luke bell officialy racing?

I don’t see Luke or Normann on the start list. Lothar is racing, though.
Grr yeah. I got Lothar and Normann confused.
And Luke isn’t racing? That’s too bad… Anyone know what races he’s doing this season?
Pete Jacobs is someone else who can cause an upset…he won’t be beating Leder, Macca…
but he can certainly outswim them!
Luke Bell and Norman Stadler were never doing the race, get with the program guys ! Mens field is pretty weak as always, not many internationals. I would add Kate Major to the womens list of favourites.
He’s doing half IM California this weekend, and no doubt a few more to cover his costs whilst he’s trainig over there. Could be another lean year for the American pros with the Swedes and Aussies in town.
McCormack looked good on the weekend at Mooloolaba. I tell you though, Craig Walton was like a rocket. I wonder if he could take that speed up anothe 7 or so hours.
