IM Moo DNF :(

Thanks for post. I know exactly what you mean…as I walked towards the timing area with my chip in my hand, my mind was screaming…“Don’t do it…you can still go back out there if you keep your chip!” Handing the chip over and not losing it was one of the toughest things I’ve ever had to do.

I agree 100%!!

Dave

It’s ok Spot, you lost this one. We all do.

The thing that athletes know that the rest of the world doesn’t is that the only thing that compares to giving something your absolute all and winning, is giving something your absolute all and losing.

Rest up, get well, and I’ll see you in the finish area in Madison on 9/10/06.

Paul

And, isn’t making us run up the helix just a little bit of overkill?

Hear, hear, brother! I really think that damn run up to T1 should count towards the marathon.

Spot,

I think you and I both did Macon, and I was there Sunday. I posted my race report last night. It was brutal, much worse than Macon I think. Keep your head up though, that was one tough race.

Hey Spot,

It was nice to meet you at the pasta dinner, I’m sorry to hear the Man With The Hammer caught up with you that day. Many, many good people went down that day. It all came down to a crapshoot of variations in physiology.

Very few have the courage to take it as close to the edge as you did.

See you next year, bud.

Jim

Thanks Jim…it was nice meeting you, too. See you next year.

George

Spot

great post, i am sure i was hard writing this post. You’ll get them next year. You worked hard all year don’t let it get you down.

I was in such a good mood entering the stadium the first time, I thought for sure we’d have to run up the bleachers & back down.
