FINALLY!!

Link below for searching for your bib number; good luck.

p.s. how about SlowTwitchers having some fun on the swim? I thought each of us could write on the bottom of our feet. Take a Sharpie and make a “S” on one foot and “T” on the other. I know it’s kind of stupid, but it sure beats looking at bubbles and wrinkled feet.

Other thoughts?

Two comments…I thought we were supposed to be looking at the bottom fo the pool? and if I get out of the water with an “S” or a “T” on my face I know it was one of you bastards that kicked me in the head.

Maybe I’ll write “if you can read this your too close”
.

340 here…

Uh wait a minute…2608 participants? These are assigned bib numbers, meaning 2608 participants still plan on showing up. For IMFL last year we had something like 2200 at this point and ended up with 2000 starting. Are we looking at 2400 starters here?

~Matt

Looks like only 2200’ish bib numbers though. Might be the number on the top of the page is not updated.

~Matt

#122 here. How do they assign the numbers, anyway?

Yeah, you’re right. It says 2600+ on the top, but if you sort with respect to bib number, you only get 2250 people (2247 numbers and 3 at top with no number).

  1. That sounds like a lucky number to me.

I’m glad to hear that the race will only be ridiculously large, and not ludicrously large, as we feared.

Ummm…I am 2201…does that mean I’m last?

Sheesh, it’s hell getting old.

Hey I’m 579. 2250 people in the water. wow that sounds like a hell of a lot. i guess 400 people bailed last minute!?!?

Yeh right…you’ll be drinking beer and eating brats before I get off the bike.

~Matt

493 here! Can’t wait to get started!!!

Number 643! Ready to rock and roll!!!

#92.

BTW, what have you guys been doing this week?

I’ve done a couple of 6-7 mile runs and 1:00 - 1:30 rides, with a swim and run planned for the weekend.

Are you in my AG (25-29)? If so, you should do a little fitness test the day before the race. No big deal. How about 4x40 mile loops of the course followed by a 10 mile tempo run?

For the ride, make sure that you over-gear sufficiently to keep the cadence under 30 at all times. Then the run should be done barefoot. Yeah, that’ll be fine…

-C

I agree with him, you should test your fitness that way before the race just to make sure you´re ready to go! …ja! sorry but I´m in the same AG (25-29) :).

Good luck to you guys and I´ll see you there on Sunday

I’m # 230.

#895 here. Can’t wait.

Anyone else notice that the numbers were assigned by age? Not just age group, but age. Odd. At least it makes it easier to spot people in your age group.

I’m in your age group (#233). Don’t worry about me finishing in front of you though.

I have 2 numbers assigned to me - 1303 and 1312.

Hmm …
