Can some one tell me about the advantagesand disadvantages of using tubular or chlinchers. I have been surfing the internet without luck. I Will be using them for the lanzarote the 21 May, and i need to deside that type of wheels set to order.
If you do a search on here you should find a ton of discussions. There is no right or wrong choice, just a matter of preference. Also, what is your experience with clincher/tubs so far? Bearing in mind you only have 4 weeks, it might not be the best time to start getting used to all the glueing etc with tubs, bearing in mind you need to be testing them too. If it was me I would say Zipp Firecrest carbon clinchers. But that is just one opinion and it also depends on your budget.
The thing is i’m sure that the ups and down are ón both sides. I have a zipp disc and 808 tubular and i have no problem changing a tube. I feel the chlinchers are not as comfortable A’s tubulars and they feel A’s if they don’t roll as easy, but All tests say that a good set of clinchede have less Rolling resistance as the tubulars.
