Since I couldn’t get any info I decided to call locally…
Placid Planet bike shop had the water temp at 70 or just above and the Mirror lake Inn had the latest reading at 72 degrees.
A friend that just set a new national age group record for the 2 mile open water swim held in Mirror Lake yesterday just measured the temperature at 78 degrees F. at several locations in the lake. The consensus of all the swimmers at the national was that the water was very warm and wet suits should not be allowed at IMLP. Of course we know this won’t happen because so many triathletes don’t swim too well without them but wouldn’t it make a fun race for the real swimmers if the race director had the #alls to not allow wetsuits.
