Hi

Anyone trying to sign up on Active.com with their ticket that they got the day after race day? To me it doesen’t look the the address given is working…Anyone else having the same problem?

Me, too. Getting “This account is not authorized for this event. Please contact customer support at 1-888-543-7223 if you need assistance.”

If they are operating on EST just like for the online registration, I’d wait another few hours and try again.

I called the number and here’s some more info:

  • Customer Support direct number is 877-228-4881, hours are 7-5PST
  • you can also email support@active.com regarding your inquiry.

Yes - I’m having trouble, too. Will wait until 9:00 am ET and if no luck, will try the phone number you’ve listed.

I’m having the same problem. Has anyone been able to sign up? This $475 is really burning a hole in my pocket.

I’m hanging with Our Lady of Perpetual Hold right now.

Just spent 15 min on hold- the friendly customer service woman explained that the “registration form” isn’t turned on, and there is no one in the office authorized to do so, so they are trying to contact their official ironman rep to take care of it.

She took my name and number and said she’d call when it’s up and running. I’ll let you know as soon as I hear back.

Active just called and said the registration should be up and running by 11 Pacific time.

Thanks, that comes a massive relief. I was getting really stressed, given that we only have three weeks to claim our already reserved spots for an event in a year’s time.

I cant take the waiting, must give someone money right now, seriously considering multisports, bet the would charge my card immediately ; )

Yeah, this suspense has pretty much derailled my entire day. I can’t concentrate on anything because I’m too busy checking to see if it’s up. And it’s totally moronic- for the reasons you noted.

I’ve just registered and paid without a hitich if that helps.

Turns out the link given on the voucher is wrong, active gave me this instead:

Site seems to be working fine now. Finished registering without any further glitches and although the site information on the onsite registration form has some typos once you are in the active.com site you can easily get to the IMLP registration by going to triathlon and looking up Ironman USA Lake Placid.

I am signed into Active.com, but the registration keep asking me for a password, though it not marked as required. How did you all get past this?

I called Customer Support and got my answer. The certificate # goes in as the password. Not very obvious, but I am sort of slow! I know there was some verbage on the first page about signing in as "Entry Fee’, but that didn’t make much sense either!

Yeah, I tried a few things, and then realized the cert number was the way to go. I’m all signed up and raring to go!!!
