Thanks–I hope its not following a Nascar event, again.
BUMP, it’s on now
.
Rather than watch the profile of the guy from the bachelorette again, I think I am switching to OLN’s coverage of the Tour of Georgia…
Copy that one!!! Who Freakin Cares!!!
Looks like the same old whittled down coverage from last time. NBC has really gone down hill. I wish they would ditch some of the human interest stuff and show more race footage.

Thanks I may have missed it without your timely bump. I missed the first one and and forgotten about today till I saw your post. Ryan Sutter had a better race than I thought he would and I knew NBC would spend too much time covering him however I could have done without the beauty shop girls assesment of him, waste of time as expected.
Actually, I thought the “Jersey Girls” were the best part. They’re the only ones that don’t look queer wearing a sports bra (or a tri-suit) and shaved legs. =)
The production is what is. It’s the same thing year in year out. The die-hards complain because they pander to the unhardcore viewer, willingly oblivious to the idea that without the human interest stories, the number of interested viewers would not make it worthwhile (profitable) to even produce.
I agree that the Ryan (despite the great first name) and Trisha stuff was a bit much, but like someone else said … he had a much better day than expected. Actually, he had a much better day than other, more dedicated triathletes did (or would) have. My particular favorite part was when one of the salon jersey girls commented that her boyfriend also writes great poetry and has wonderful abs. That added both motivation to my training, respect to the sport, and information I can use.
I am continually less impressed with the sport, the excessive gear (for average athletes), the look, the “I’m not elite, but I act like it” triathletes … but am more in love with and more amazed by the training (or working out if that’s what it’s called) and the elite athletes. I’m rambling.
