Most of you don’t know me very well. Been posting since I could pee on the toilet seat; was a lurker on the Gordo forum for about 10mins. I think I don’t train enough, and have mental issues. I kick butt at small, poorly attended local races, such as the Yellowknife Ironman. I fetch water for the roadies at local group rides. My three close friends call me Greg… .uhh cuz that’s my name. My IM times are sub-15:30 with little training or effort.
I’m devoting the rest of this year to drinking beer. Can you all give me your serious input on the realities of turning pro and my likelihood of success? Some advice on coaches and beer brands would be nice too.
My 2008 goals are:
Sub 7 beer mile.
Top 20 at the Drumheller ladies 5k for fitness walk.
If you serious about it I would really consider joining the Hash House Harriers, highly recommended!
They have forged a couple of national caliber contenders over the years.
I think you are a shoo-in. You will put Jonnyo and Rappstar to shame. MuffinTop’s got nada on you.
You are genetically gifted, unique, a precious perfect snowflake.
Plus, you are good enough, you are smart enough, and - gosh darn it! - people like you!!!
I’d quit the day job at Mickey D’s and get started on the new Pro gig right away.
