Who is they?
There were barriers for the geese control today on the sandy beach but plenty of folks swimming off the pier. I did not see any effort to keep swimmers out.
Good luck to all of you racing in Whistler. Just be patient on race day. The entire race only gets started with the climbing back from Pemberton.
If you just want to get a swim in, head to Lost Lake and swim around the docks. One of my favourite places to ows. One loop is around 1000m
You can go to the other side of the lake at Wayside or Lakeside park and swim the opposite side of Alta Lake. I think Rainbow is only closed from 9am tomorrow but not 100% on that.
THANKS FOR THE TIP!! Did just that today. Didn’t have to deal with the hassle of fighting to get into Lake Alta.

The black fencing you see is simply up in early mornings to protect beach/lawn from geese.
