Can someone help me as I can’t find anywhere to stay in Penticton. I stayed at a bed and breakfast in 2004 but now they have a minimum of 7 days now. I only want 5. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

Call Okanagan Reservations and get on a wait list. Or go to www.okres.bc.ca. They have access to most of the rooms in Penticton. The lodging is most likely “sold out”, but they don’t collect payment until some time in May. Once people are asked for cash, many of them cancel. And then the people on the Okanagan Reservations wait list have a chance to get a room. It worked for me this past summer.
You can rent a camper for I think it was 3 or 4 days and place it at any campground in the penticton area. I cannot for the life me remember what it is was called but do an RV rental penticton search on google and it should come up.
Try out the Gibson House B & B. I stayed there in 2005 for five days. They fed me so well I think I may have gained weight. It’s close to downtown, and about a fifteen minute walk to the start. You can google to find the contact info. Good luck next year.

Also, watch the IMC chat page (mile141.com). Many folks who are renting out houses will post there, as will folks who reserved but can’t race, and passing on reservations.
