IM Can 300 community fund spots?

I guess we will see how much or how many people are willing to pay. I do not recall but is this the most community fund spots that have been made available?

NIce. In the past they’ve had some slots for a lottery. I guess they figured that they could get more money by pouring them all into the C-fund. My guess is that they will sell out immediately. But hey, it’s for charity, so that’s cool.

People who “signed up” on site actually left with a number-encoded slip of paper (after their details were checked) that gives them until late Sept (20th?) to commit and pay. Only after that deadline will NA Sports really know what the numbers look like. As such, it is still entirely possible for there to be a lottery for 2008.

So here’s my bitch about the sign up process - and i’m happy to be corrected by Ironboy (or others) - the only IM in North America that has no online sign up which is compounded by the fact that they have also done away with the ability to “sign a friend” up…means this is essentially becoming a PNW event only - to my knowledge (and i stand corrected) there are 3 qualifiers (also all in the NW) of which the RD owns 2…I guess they gotta make IMKY successful someway right?

There are slots available through the Subaru series in Ontario as well… Other than that, I think you’re right. Show up, pay for the Community Fund slot, or take your chances in the lottery.

No, there are actually many qualifiers for IMC. Here are the qualifiers from this year:
Ford Ironman 70.3 California Ford Ironman 70.3 Florida Muskoka Triathlon Whirlpool Steelhead Ironman 70.3 Great White North Triathlon Peterborough Triathlon New Balance Triathlon Morden Triathlon Oliver Triathlon Osoyoos Triathlon Pucon Triathlon Buffalo Springs Lake Ironman 70.3

I stand corrected…Your source?
