My card got declined a week ago when I tried to buy shoes on my way to buy another slowtwitcher lunch. It was really annoying. Turns out my card got flagged for fraud because I used it to pay a larger amount at target. I had to call and answer a bunch of security questions and they turned it on again.
Super annoying but things like that happen. No reason it couldnt happen to obama.

I had my card declined when, about 1/2 hour after filling up my car with gas, I filled up my wife’s car.
Same thing happened another time when I stayed the night, ate a restaurant, and made some other purchases in a hotel in Mammoth Lakes. The next day we drove to Northern California, checked in to a cabin, and it was declined when we went to the market to buy groceries. The clerk said it happened quite often to people traveling who make purchases in one location and then travel to another.
Years ago, I had a card declined when I hadn’t used it in four months or so.
Some usage and purchases get triggered as potential fraud. Usually, the fix is to call some hotline to verify the legitimacy of the purchases. Each time it’s happened to me, the bank immediately left a message on my home number with an 800 number to call for verification.

I don’t think it is a lie, I think it is a very well timed, reported truth to distract us in a time when his party really, really needs us to think positive thoughts of him before going to the polls.
And for those pointed out Obama is not up for re-election, you miss the point. There is always an election between some Democrat and some Republican. The average voter is, sadly, barely able to articulate the candidate they are voting for’s views on major issues. They know the person with the “D” next to their name and the person with the “R” next to their name. The more positive press for the most high profile “D” politician they can get, the better their odds of getting more votes for any “D” politician at the ballot box.
I am fundamentally opposed to tyranny. I am also more and more convinced we as a species are too stupid for democracy. I don’t know what I am anymore but if the Nihilists had not been such dicks to the Dude, I would seriously be considering them as my party of choice.
