Good write-up, thanks for sharing. I did the race too - it was my worst IM to date, an nice BOP finish for me! (pooched the run). Your swim experience sounds a lot like mine, I just could not find the rhythm or catch my breath.

Well done on that run, way to keep digging. I think I’ll try that procrastinated walking break approach mentality next time I feel that way.
