IM Austria or Quelle Roth for 1st IM?
Which is better for a first timer, which has the easier bike, and if you only speak English, is it difficult to signup/go to race meetings/generally do the race in either one?

I did Austria as my first. I’ve never done Roth, so I can’t compare. I can say, however, that the bike course in Austria is very forgiving. Yes, there are some climbs, but there are also long downhills and nice, smooth flats on which you can recover.
Language was no problem. The hotels all seem to have English speakers on staff, and the race personnel are also multilingual. They do race meetings in English, German and Italian, so you can take your pick.
The sign-up website took a little guesswork, as I recall, but I figured it out without knowing any German. I think the race is full for 2006.
Easy…IM Switzerland.
i think austria is already full.
They speak english at the quelle roth race . nice race and i didn’t think the bike course was that tough ( and before roth i never had to climb more than 3 meters,so…).
I was thinking for 07 not 06 so not a problem with being full.
