I’m just curious as to what people think of IM Australia in Forster. I’ve done the race a few times, only because I live in Australia, and I’m not that keen on doing it again, but I am wondering what people think of this race?
I think the swim is diobolical, the worst I have ever seen, the bike course is pretty average with those famous potholes. I liked the run course, general organisation was good. I found the atmosphere was a bit lacking as there were very few internationals compared to other Ironman races. Having said that I enjoyed the experience, but would not be in a hurry to go back. Will be keen to check out the new race in Busselton.
