OHHHHHHH, this is teh sexxiest thing I have ever seenz…
That is ‘SWEEEEEEEEEEET’!
Those Looks look very sharp indeed.
Herbert
But they ripped off the seattube cut out from Cervelo that GT used and the Hinge front end from Felt that Look has had for years!
Styrrell
do you happen to know what brand bike that is?
or what the name of the model is?
sorry… just doesn’t do it for me.
take away the “look! look!” and maybe…
Nice, but what the heck is that thing on top of the headtube?
A stem.
Some kind of adjustable “ergo” stem. Not crazy about that part, but the rest is teh sexxor.
That’s a funky looking stem. What purpose does it serve, other than disrupting airflow?
I looks pretty slack, have any measurements? Very sweet…
I agree that it is very sexy looking, but I was in the shop the other day and saw one and picked it up. I almost threw my back out. It is a deceivingly heavy bike!

It keeps the handlebars attached to the bike.
And it eliminates the need for spacers and swapping a stem for different rise/length.
Here’s one built up…
It keeps the handlebars attached to the bike.
Har har har. Don’t quit your day job.
I think I’d rather have the spacers and a selection of stems. Though it doesn’t look nearly so bad in that pic of a whole bike.
It’s not the same stem.
The stem in THAT picture is AWESOME. That was what I thought the new specialized was going to look like after we had that long thread about the crappy aerodynamics of steerer tubes. Someone was like “yeah, the new specialized will have a dropped head tube so the stem doesn’t stick way up etc etc” but now I see that they meant that the Look TT bike will actually have a dropped head tube. Awesome!

What rock have y’all been living under?
The Look 1/2/3/496, with it’s hinged front end and integrated Ergostem, has been around for a couple of decades. -
Rumor has it that that despite it’s sexy looks, it isn’t quite as aero as the leading carbon fiber uber-aero bikes (e.g., Cervelo P3C).
Anyone know who makes that frameset? I can’t seem to locate a decal with the name on it. ![]()

It also makes it easy to experiment with different positions, as well as to achieve a lower position than permitted with your typical +/- 17 deg (at most) stem. That’s why there was an Ergostem on my wife’s bike until just last week, and why it might be back on there again in the very near future.
