I should have posted this earlier, but the race is streaming live at http://www.ironman.com/triathlon/coverage/detail.aspx?race=auckland70.3&y=2014#axzz2qlFv8ODu
American Andrew Yoder is in the lead on the bike and the chase group 40 seconds behind includes Hodge, Frodeno, Docherty, Bowstead, Kemp, O’Grady, Cunningham, Appleton, Seear and Dellow.
Annabel Luxford leads the women’s race.
Congrats to Jan Frodeno on the first of many 70.3 victories to come!
Impressive race all around; it is incredible that a blazing 3:48 was only good enough for 7th place for Craig Alexander

Yep, I think he made the right decision stepping up to 70.3s. I won’t want to have to race anyone named Brownlee or Gomez for podium spots.
Glad to see Ritchie Cunningham in top form taking second place after his bike accident as well.
Brilliant comeback by Cat Morrison too!
Pretty impressive showing by Cam Brown - he’s definitely still got it!
