Why am I asking such a semi-rhetorical question? Because this Monday, it won’t be so rhetorical for me.
One of my stories was published in the book “Cycling’s Greatest Misadventures,” so I’ve got a reading and (Lord help me), a book signing on Monday, July 2 here in West Chester, PA. However, when you peruse the ‘Events’ calendar, it would appear that I won’t be the main draw that night.
So he’ll be there. The most controversial cyclist in the recent history of the Tour. If given the chance to speak with him, what would you say? Personally, I’ll be fascinated to just sit back and see what the room does. It’s not like I’d get him to confess anything in a 10-15 second chat, but I’m sure some of you can come up with some true gems.
Just leave the LeMond “Hide the weenie” thing off the table, okay? That’s just…yuck.

I hope I’m funny. Need to set the stage well here. *
Remember that time that you were racing in the Tour de France, on the 17th stage, and you drank like 27 gallons of water, and beat everybody by a huge lead?
