Buy the tight skin to protect it from your sweat. If you are about to buy one, look for a tight plastic cover, forget the name of the company which makes it, and buy that immediately. I wouldn’t even put it on to try it out the first time without that tight cover on it. I run with mine dropping down, so this may not be a problem for arm band wearers.
As someone complained in a prior thread about his getting fried or screwed up from body sweat into the back, it also happened to me, last week. I’d have to wait a day or two to let it get back to normal. The sports shell didn’t solve the problem.
good advice. my regular ipod broke from either sweat or the bouncing associated with regular 2+hr runs. i’m real hesitant to get another one, even if it has a flash drive.
That’s it… that’s all… no story about the sweat dripping into the mechanism, bringing the beast to life. It came to life, jumped up, bit into my skin on my neck and held on til I passed out and fell of the side of the 1000’ mountain I was trekking up… with my newfound glass eye.
The sad fact is, and I hate to report this, but I’m running out of material and have resorted to now asking bike repair questions, regurgitating older takes and taking shots at the new Pope.
I’ve hit rock bottom.
I’ve got to now go out and enter some event and get material. I was going to do this Panama City Half Ironman, but I just don’t want to deal with the wind right now. Plus, it looks hot. The water will probably be cold and choppy and full of seaweed. Then the wind again.
