Any forum members attempt to register for the Iceman mountain bike race (cough, Demerly, cough)? Site totally crashed and registration completely facked up.
I was FINALLY able to get registered around 8:40pm last night. Steve sent out an email later Monday night saying that they suspended registrations on the site because it was a disaster. He said they have to figure out how many people actually got registered and then figure out how to register the remaining slots. For those of you who didn’t get in I expect that we’ll here about the outcome by the end of the week.
It was a complete mess. I have a feeling that it’ll be done either on Active.com next year, since they are a tried and true registration site, or hell, they may go back to the old fashioned snail mail entries like the good ole days!

Serisouly though, I’m not sure what the issue may be. do know Steve Brown and his associates are dilligent about fixing such issues. It should be up and running in under 24 hours.
It was a complete cluster - I did get registered though, so I’m happy. Sportsbaseonline.com could not handle the volume of folks trying to register for the 2000 available slots, it’s crazy. I couldn’t imagine how they would handle something like IMLP or IMWI…
To Tom’s point, Steve Brown got caught on this one - SBO making promises they couldn’t keep. He’ll make it right, but not in 24 hours - probably by the end of the week, or even into next.
Good luck to those who tried, and will try again, to register for this Northern Michigan Classic.
You gotta do it like me. Wait until the last possible day to transfer entries, and get one from someone out of state and overnight the transfer form.
