Iceland Extreme Tri is Back for 2021

The Iceland Extreme Tri is back for 2021 and has additional participation options. They also released a sweet video: https://www.facebook.com/1582283302094185/posts/2728559800799857/?vh=e&extid=bdrWNJFSFwHgTXgr&d=n

Huh…extreme Tri the 10th. Rift Iceland a couple weeks later. Seems pretty sweet…

In terms of extreme and epic landscapes Iceland has a wealth of opportunities. It would be hard to find a more surreal gravel road in the world than the F208/F235. There is a small cabin at the end of the F235 and it feels like you are at the end of the earth. I have been to some very remote places and there is something unique about the landscape of Iceland that makes everything feel more extreme.

I have also always been scared to race in Iceland because the wind can also be out of this world. One day I will make it back and race. The Laugavegur ultra is a bucket list event and the Rift also looks very appealing.

I literally just commented on another thread how cool it would be if the PTO started putting in prize money at Extreme Triathlons. Admittedly I’ve never done one, and don’t know a ton about its popularity and growth, but it has always piqued my curiosity and I’d love to do one before I die.
