Things are getting ugly. I wonder why no government officials have stepped down yet?

Don’t you wish you lived in a country where you could pelt the prime minister’s car with eggs? Hilarious.
Rather than starting more threads on subjects you clearly have littlle to no understanding of, why not attempt to correct the misleading / clearly false statemtents that you have made in the other threads?
I’m completely baffled, you blatently presented falsified data by any academcic standard to support a unsupportable argument vis a vis health care but rather than continue to attempt to make your case (which was clearly unsupportable) and explain how everyone was wrong, you simply dropped the subject…
Could you articulate your reasons for doing so?
Andrew why don’t you take a chill pill. I will get back to that thread, I just posted this quickly today and haven’t been in the LR recently.
If the data I presented is falsified as you claim take it up with the authors. I’m sure there are other statistical sources that show similar “issues” with shortages and long wait times.
And since you have all the data on the subject lodged up your ass why don’t you present some to show that wait times in the US are longer than in Canada. Better yet why don’t you tell us.
Either way you never answered my basic question as to why the Canadian system is suffering from bottlenecks and shortages.
Again, why do you think that is so? I have asked you this several times.
And while your at it why don’t you enlighten us all with your thesis on why socialized medicine is the next best thing since sliced bread. If you have covered this before then point me to your posts.
And if you have anything substantive to say about the crises in Iceland then please add your cogent thought below, otherwise relax.

What the fuck does this have to do with Iceland?
Don’t you know Andrew has spent his entire working life looking at health care practice, domestically and internationally" and that his “research is on health care?”
S0 after hijacking the other thread he decides to hijack this one too, all because I didn’t respond immediately to his post.
Finally someone resigns:
What’s interesting is that no matter how big or small a country or empire, no matter how strong or weak its military force; the financial and monetary systems can bring them down on their knees faster than anybody thinks is possible.
It must be Obama’s fault.
It must be Obama’s fault.
Or, the fisherman’s, they simply weren’t catching big enough fish, thus, the need for the banking system to become 125% of GDP.

The Iceland situation is a good example of how linked the world economy is. It’s interesting because it was only a few short years ago that Iceland was being hyped as a utopian sort of soceity - potentially, off the world energy grid and totally self supporting in its needs for energy( mostly geo-thermal but also emerging Hydrogen energy sources). Now it’s gone completely the other way!
It must be Obama’s fault.
Well heck, you going to blame GWB for this one as well? What about Spain, Australia, etc, etc, etc, and all the other struggling economies. not to worry, the Prophet O will save them all, I am sure of it.

I think Bush’s limo was pelted with eggs at his inauguration.
No, I blame the banking industry and Wall St. for thinking it was a good idea to bundle millions of questionable loans, rating agencies for calling those as safe bets, and greedy banks from all over the world buying into them with their eyes shut. I just thought I’d do a preemptive strike with the Obama comment because that is pretty much all you and chainpin post about.
Bjork will invoke the superpowers imbedded in the swan dress and save the country.

Actually, I was thinking that perhaps the problem was that Icelandic politicians no longer have Bobby Fischer around to show them how to avert political checkmate. ![]()
We also forget the North Atlantic cod stocks that made Iceland so wealthy to begin with are all but fished out of existence.

No problem. They still have ABBA. If they can convince them to put together a few of those billion dollar re-union gigs, they’ll be on the recovery trail in no time.
Abba are Swedish.
Abba are Swedish.
Hmmm, so they are. Well, that plan’s out. They’re screwed.
