I wish I could run as fast as my nose does!

Anyone else constantly have a runny nose on the bike and/or run? I need to blow my nose at least every 5 minutes and is independent of effort. I haven’t bothered to analyse the properties of the snot very closely, but it appears to be of the clear watery type. I have a max range of about 5 meters, which can be useful at times to ward off potential drafters. Regardless, i’d rather part with this ability for good. No runny nose issues off-training.

Solutions anyone?

I have the same issue with all three phases. My nose starts running at about 200 yards in the swim, and runs continuously until I’ve been on dry land about 20 minutes. I snot a lot on the bike and run too. I’d figured that was just because it’s been cold here. I just play dumb when my wife asks why I have random wet spots on my shirt.

Maybe we’re overhydrated?

We discussed this a little back in February.

Among other things, it was suggested that we swim/bike/run in the order of increasing snot production.

I call it “Olfactory Activation”

When it starts, I know I’m working.
