I voted

i voted today (absentee) and i have to say that it was a pretty shitty experience, especially considering that it was my first time. and to be honest, i dont like who i voted for. however, i didn’t like anybody who i could have voted for and actually had a chance to win. some of the third party canditates appealed to me to some extent (mainly badnarik and cobb, the other guys are TOTALLY off the wall, which isn’t to say that these two aren’t either). While some of these third party guys have some good ideas, 1) they dont have a snowball’s chance in hell of actually winning 2) their ideas would take drastic change in the american way of thinking to actually implement and make successful. anyways, just a little rant. i should’ve written myself in. my sat’s are higher than either one of the chief guys. the only corporation i’m owned by is my bike shop employer and only because i like employee discounts  the environment needs to be protected at all costs and not sold to the highest bidder to “help boost the economy”. health care needs to be reformed, but the right way of going about it is not by giving away cheap insurance that’s paid for by the government to everybody who’s too damn lazy to get a job. what else… oh yeah, health care… more money needs to be spent on the actual prevention and EDUCATION, instead of being spent for fixing the problems, for the majority of preventable chronic diseases that are wasting the majority of the health care systems money. so… those are the main points of my platform. vote for me!

I remember my parents getting a sticker that said ‘Be nice to me I voted’. Where the hell is my sticker.

So, I take it you’re a Bush/Cheney guy all the way?

Thanks for voting. Regardless of for whom, you did the right thing and I (for what very little it’s worth) respect you for that.

Remember, on November 3rd, we’re all still Americans and the guy who gets sworn in on January 20th, if all the lawsuits are settled by that time ;-), will need our support and good wishes.

Tony

ha, you would like for me to be a bush/cheney guy, wouldn’t ya kahuna? i will tell you that my whole family is bush/cheney all the way, and regardless of who i voted for, bush is gonna win my state (SC). he’ll prob win the whole rest of the south, but that’s b/c kerry is a big gay yankee (dont get upset everybody, not my view, just observations on how the south, at least from my part, view northerners. unfortunately where i’m from, it’s 1-0 “the north”, but it’s only half time! ) i think i may just have to run for president one day. then i could get serotta to build me a beautiful custom road bike and trek to build me a beautiful custom EX 9! those things are sweet!
