I am looking for a referral for a triathlon coach in san diego or one of the ones online. There is too much info. available for me to come to a good decision on who to choose. I am not new to working out or triathlons. I have just always done everything myself. As I get a little older I would like to train smarter. Any advice is appreciated.
Check out accelerate3.com. Brian (DesertDude) has been coaching me for the past couple of seasons to PR’s. He is not in San Diego but its just a quick jaunt down the 8 and 10 to Tucson!
Mike Plumb is in north county san diego and is on this forum. top notch guy.
Do you have a contact for mike. Thanks
Thanks, I will look brian up.
Mike’s web site is http://www.tripower.org/html/index.htm. His email is tripower2000@msn.com.
Great guy and coach.
PM Mike Plumb. SD local and internet coach. Also a great guy.
I would highly recommend Kevin Purcell, DC located in San Diego. A chiropracter for many years he trained under Gordo before becoming a coach himself. You can find him at www.coachkp.com.
Jonnyo from this forum is a great coach

Mike Plumb is great! ran into him at IMA and one of his master women qualified for Kona with a huge PR.
he has been around a long time and has a great reputation and an awesome athlete himself.

sergio is in san diego.
we are having a SD camp in a few weeks.
Coach Al Lyman (www.coach-al.com) has been my coach for about 5 years. Absolutely fantastic, top notch guy. Lives in CT so it would be an online coaching deal, but he’s phenomenal. Never before have I met someone so dedicated to the development of athletes, regardless of the level they’re at. And best of all, his rates are extremely reasonable; for the amount of attention he gives to his athletes, you’d expect to pay triple.
PM if you need any other info… his phone # and email should be on the site, but I can give them to you if you need.
