I have made the most amazing discovery

I have run every day so far in August, except one. I have noticed that in that period of time, I can now run farther, and faster, with lower RPE. I am also less sore the following day. I sleep better, have more energy during the day, and am more productive at work (except for this instant, where I am slacking on ST).

Has anyone else noticed this? It is absolutely phenomenal. I am telling all of my friends (all 2 of them) about this revolutionary finding. I think I’ll write a book about it and call it something like “Training - the revolutionary new performance enhancer”

I don’t believe it.

Yep when i was training for a half marathon last yr…not only do you seem to get faster and run longer but like you said your less sore and the recovery is amazing…and here i thought i was the only one to have experienced that…damn!

Looks like parkito found the opposite effect. He ran his brains out over the winter, and we haven’t heard from him again…

And then there’s Lazy Ben winning the ST November run contest. Look how he turned out…

And don’t make me mention Francois. I am *NOT going there…

pics or it didnt happen.

I believe it! I was a platinum Janruary Run Challenger and running every day for one month, I believe, contributed to some big PRs this spring. I’d like to get back into that this winter.

I’ve done it the past two Januarys and it definitely does help.

Funny how that training thing works.

I’m in middle of the same revelation…increase my running from 3 days a week to 5-6, wow what a difference!

Don’t forget that clown who ran about 3 miles during the winter challenges and then decided to do a 50 mile race recently…

It works for the swim and bike also. I had this down perfect in 2005. I was in the best shape of my life. I was also doing weights everyday with varied routines. I just made sure I changed the distances from day to day, but intensity stayed up. After about two weeks I would take a day or two off, then hit it again. But you should be able to find something to do everyday. It was amazing with everyone telling me I was doing it all wrong, but then they would ask me how I did it again and again. Just get enough good calories in, and at the right times.

true for me…since I started training for ultras and running 6 days a week, sometimes every day, even just half an hour, I recover way faster, and all my times are faster without any planned structured speedwork, however, my biking is pathetic as I have been just doing it once or 2x a week. The swimming Ok as I have kept it at 3x a week. But really it seems the more that I run, the better I feel the next time I run.
