I have hard proof of doping in cycling

But even the UCI’s 50% EPO limit can be cheated in twenty minutes, if the rider drinks enough water to dilute his blood before the test.

And if you watch the tour, these guys are drinking water like crazy while riding, cause they know they might get tested at the finish line.

QED.

You mean like Rasmussen who didn’t even take a water bottle up the final climb?

Cyclist drinking during a race. Creepy.

But even the UCI’s 50% EPO limit can be cheated in twenty minutes

I don’t buy it. Maybe an IV, but drinking?

they going to ban water…it’s a masking substance
.

Or they could be in need of fluids due to heat, exertion, sweat rates etc.

Doping exists in all sports, but for you to state they are drinking water like crazy b/c they might get tested at the finish line, especially since you have no knowledge other than assumptions as to the reason they are drinking is rather asinine.

He never does he only drinks on the downside. Give me time I will figure out how that ties into drugs.

Desert Dude, he was just making a joke. It’s called sarcasm, and sometimes it isn’t easily detected between the lines of a text posting. Maybe the UCI should test for it since it’s not obvious enough.

surprised that desert_dude didn’t detect sarcasm after spending time with SAC and me…

Or they could be in need of fluids due to heat, exertion, sweat rates etc.

Oh sure try to create lame excuse besides what do you know about heat. Jesss you think you live in a desert or something.

But its a dry heat

That explains my erratic performances. The days I chugged that water down I was really shifting…

Athletes drinking water ina race… yep, that’s proof enough for me!

On a more serious note though, often they will check themselves the night before a race, and if they are over 50, they will ‘drain’ some blood out and put a water IV in to dilute the blood to bring them below the 50 mark.
