I have a real problem with Contador

How the F___ does he beat Cancellara in that TT coming off a day in the Alps like yesterday…?!

It is almost like he is daring the AFLD to do something…

If Contador is clean then I am the Pope.

Because Cancellera had to drag his fat ass through the mountains for the last 3 weeks, while Contador just had to drag his skinny ass through the same mountains.

I heard he was getting tested after the race in annecy today. He was looking in pretty good shape after the TT ; one of the fittest people in the world today I think.

Wasn’t that happy with this shot as it turned out a bit bright. Think I have a better one but it is ok for free.

You don’t beat* the best climbers in the world working in tandem one day and the best TTers the next without some assistance.

NB. Spartacus was 36minutes down yesterday & 17 minutes the day before: he was not going nearly as hard as Contador.

NB2. Remember who beat Cancellara last year in the surprise result of the final TT?

*the only reason why he slowed down after attacking yesterday was because of Kloden, otherwise both Schlecks would have been blown away

Well you’re right, he didn’t have to beat the best climbers in the world yesteray, because he is the best climber in the world.

Cancellera also had to protect the yellow jersey for the first week of the Tour and basically dragged the whole Saxo Bank team through the Team Time Trial.

You also state that Cancellera was not going as hard as Contador yesterday, Contador may have been going a lot faster, but I bet it was almost as hard for Cancellera to drag his 180 pound body up those mountains slowly as it was for Contador to drag his 145 pound body up those mountains quickly.

I wonder how Lance did it?

Agreed - Does not pass the smell test at all. Beating Cancellara and Wiggins is a little over the top for me.

I like to believe he’s fit and had a great race? That course suited him perfectly with a nice hill near the end.

He earned it.

Contador was riding hard with attacks. Cancellera finished 2nd to last on the stage yesterday, 24 minutes down the day before. To see how well he can do in the mountains if he tries; stage 15 - he finished 42nd, within spitting distance (8 secs) of Sylvain Chavanel who is 7th in the mountains clasification.

Well as Phil Ligget says “The yellow jersey can give you the strength of two men.”
.

Well, your Eminence, he hasn’t failed a drug test… yet. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Just follow the motor bikes.

Well as Phil Ligget says “The yellow jersey can give you the strength of two men.”

There’s a bit missing - the yellow jersey can give you the money to obtain the strength of two men.

How I wish Puerto happened in a country where they’d actually put some effort into getting rid of all the related athletes.

The look on Contador’s face when he is climbing reminds me of Basso the year he won the Giro…Basso rode away from Simoni like he had a jet engine. Now Simoni is 5’ 8" and weighs 128 lbs and is a natural climber but he can’t TT. That year Basso was the best climber AND the best TT guy…and we all know how he got popped.

If Contador finishes today in the top 10, I can deal with it…but to win??

Call the cops.

And there is some other shit that doesn’t add up;
Ok Menchov gassed himself at the Giro so I can deal with him being off the back…a little. Sastre is always pretty consistent, he looks like a CAT 4 guy in the tour…ok maybe since he did the Giro?? Cadel Evans is super consistent and didn’t do the Giro, so how the F is he that far off the back?? The Bradley Wiggins thing is starting to get me… The Shleck’s are about what I thought, unless of course they would have finished in the top 10 today. Lance is Lance, good for him, he saved a bit from the Giro… DiLuca could he really be that dumb??

cancellara’s day in the alps was a lot worse than contadors dude

I’ll make it an easy and truthful answer for you:

all on juice.

spartacus weighs like 900lbs more

Pure speculation, but my guess is that if all the dopers were removed, Wiggins would be 1st GC.

I sort of think that last year was fairly clean. But unfortunately the return of Astana/Lance is a return to the late 90’s. Team-wise, I’d guess that Astana and Saxo dope. And Garmin, Columbia, and Cervelo are clean.

If I were the autocratic director of the Tour, I’d just permanently ban Bruyneel, Riis, and Lance from the event.

Just follow the motor bikes.

According to Fabian, Alberto did just that.

Wiggins would be 1st GC.

Talk about a guy riding uncharacteristically…
