Canada has ancient (including hand me down) F18s but want to wait 10 to 15 years for a prospective British 6th Gen while waffling on the F35 purchase. There’s no way the 6th gen wip be cheaper so less airframes than the proposed 88 F35s?

These will be the first new submarines Canada has ever purchased, which unfortunately for me means I will have to retire the the second hand submarine trope (although all others regarding second hand equipment and sham defense spending shall remain)
