BREEZY TO WINDY CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ACROSS MOST OF SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA… SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH-CENTRAL ARIZONA TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY. A LARGE PACIFIC STORM SYSTEM WAS ALREADY MOVING ACROSS CENTRAL CALIFORNIA. THE ASSOCIATED COLD FRONT WILL LIKELY KICK UP THE WINDS FIRST ACROSS SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA AND NEAR THE COLORADO RIVER TONIGHT AND INTO FRIDAY. WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH ARE EXPECTED… WITH SOME STRONGER GUSTS. FOR SOUTH-CENTRAL ARIZONA… EXPECT WINDS TO PICK UP ESPECIALLY ON SATURDAY… WHEN A REINFORCING SURGE OF COOLER AIR ARRIVES. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST MAY OCCUR WITH THE STRONGEST WINDS. TEMPERATURES WILL DROP SHARPLY BY SATURDAY… WITH MOST DESERTS HOLDING IN THE MID 70S.
drove the bike course one last time (actually to show my wife and her mum) and the outside temp based on the car was 103 Deg
She’s a warm one - but the nice thing is - the predicted 75 degrees is going to be very comfortable after these past few days and tomorrow.
Scary thing is - a LOT of people were out hammering the bike course today - it is one thing to ride it to keep loose - but they were treating it like a hard training session.
