Hyper mobility and injury

Hi All

I have been training for ironman distnace for around 6 years and never far from picking up an injury.
I am very hyper mobile and in 2014 i twisted my foot twice in a XC run but because of my hypermobility my foot rolled back to the position without any problems

Until by accident a month after Roth a doctor saw my foot roll in and told me i should have an MRI as didn’t look right. Roll on 4 weeks later i was being operated on for snapping my spring ligament and this was reconstructed.

After a year of major rehab I got back to training, then 5 weeks out from Austria I had another tiny dull ache and found that i had separated my solues from the bone and if i carried on running it would separate completely !!! 2 months later and the MRI again conformed this had all healed so I got back to training after pulling out of Austria.

So i slowly started from the beginning again with only putting up distance and intensity very, very slowly over a period of nearly 8/9 months from last year. I was running consistently long runs week and week out after the initial build up unitl 5 weeks ago were i felt after a run a twinge in my hip. again just had MRI and got a grade two strain.

Now i do 2/3 strength session a week TRX, kettle bells, and body weight stuff and i dont raise distance or intensity up stupidly. I have tried lots of different trainers.

So I have tried most stuff and wonder if its because of my hyper mobile joints and if anyone else has this problem and if there is anything i can work on specially to get to the bottom of it.

The one thing its great for is swimming but for running its seems to be a nightmare, it might not be anything to do with the injuries and maybe I am just injury prone but thought i would ask if anyone else has had this problem

thanks
